How can fundamentalist Christians not believe in evolution or believe Earth isn't billions of years ancient?

I just wonder, how can you believe this? I mean this as a serious question. Saying there is no such thing as evolution is like saying the law of conservation of matter, one of the most basic scientific laws, is untrue.

There are parts of the earth dated to scientifically be around 4.6 billion years ancient. Parts of moon rocks have been dated to 4.5 billion years ancient and have matched rock samples on earth. World's oldest crystal was in a sedimentary rock in Australia and was 4.4 billion years ancient. Saying the earth is not this ancient is like saying red is not a color. It's that simple.

The same goes for evolution. I won't list facts and evidence, but it's scientifically proven. How can people deny science over something that has no factual proof?

This superstitious, cretinism nonsense is spread by fundie; it is so completely enthralled by its geographically specified invisible sky critter that it lives in constant DREAD that it may do something incorrect which will cause its 'god' to jump off ‘his’ small cloudie, swoop down, and place 'em in ‘his’ cooking pot.
